Finny Shaw is a shy but smart 13-year-old boy who has been kidnapped by a sadistic killer and imprisoned in a soundproof basement where screaming is useless. When the switched-off phone on the wall starts ringing, Finny discovers that he is hearing the voices of the killers’ previous victims. And they’re determined to make sure what happened to them doesn’t happen to Finny.
