Based on a true Cold War story, Firebird is a gripping love story set against the backdrop of a Soviet airbase during Communist rule in the late 1970s. Sergei (Tom Pryor), a poignant young soldier who dreams with becoming an actor in Moscow, he is counting down the days to the end of his military service. His life was turned upside down when he saw Roman (Oleg Zagorodniy), a sexy and mysterious fighter pilot who had recently been assigned to his base. With undeniable charm, Sergei and Roman move along the precarious line between love and friendship at a time when the uniformed Soviet men caught up in the affair have been punished with the harshest punishment.
